In 2016 Tony Unruh and Trish Boyer embarked on a project to design and build a home with the challenge and freedom of considering themselves the clients, but expecting to sell. Instead of listing, they ended up making a move they had not expected. Ground up hillside construction, taking full advantage of views and adjacent old growth trees. Designed with flexible living spaces, including a Gregory Ain inspired movable wall, that allows for turning an extremely large bedroom into a separately entranced bedroom and study. Utilizing a selective use of modest materials that addressed budget and durability, without sacrificing style.
