Radcliffe Residence
Claremont, CA
Designed by architect Everett Tozier for artist James Hueter in the 1960s, this residence used a non-standard 15" grid to create unique spatial qualities and rhythms visible throughout its architecture. Our role was to create a new primary suite and garage addition with thoughtful updates, using this grid as our guideline. We studied Tozier's meticulous plans, details, and structural drawings to create a scheme that honored the architect's original design intent, while breaking away from it when necessary.
