This custom home, perched on a hilltop with 360 degree views, was designed for a client permanently moving from Los Angeles to Costa Rica. The result was a California style modernist house conceived using local materials and adapting to harsher weather conditions. The black lava rock walls and teak ceilings were locally sourced, anchoring the new home to it’s immediate environment.
